For the March issue of Business Alabama Magazine, I was given the editorail assignment to photograph Today's Homeowner host, Danny Lipford. We went to a home they were working on for his show in Mobile, Alabama to shoot the portraits. Danny was simply awesome. One of the nicest people I have ever met and he went out of his way to make sure we got what we needed even though he was in the middle of recording an episode for his nationally syndicated television show. Also, a big thank you to Danny's daughter Chelsea and his public relations manager Stephanie Greenwood for making the shoot go smoothly.
Late last year, I was commissioned to shoot portraits and action images of Wendy's High School Heisman finalist, Trey LaNasa. I had to capture my images of Trey in between his time shooting with an ESPN video crew throughout the day. Though the day was hectic and long, we got some great images. Trey runs cross country and track in Florida at Fort Walton Beach High School and is currently committed to the University of Florida to run track. Trey was one of twelve national finalists for the Wendy's High School Heisman award.
Wanting to start 2015 out fresh, I reached out to an old friend who was in town visiting from New York. Nicklaus and I went to school together from the 3rd grade through high school. Some time has passed since then and I was glad to circle back around and collaborate with him on shooting some portraits. We met up for lunch about a week ago to catch up and chat about some wardrobe ideas. We made the shoot happen a couple days later at my house. It was very refreshing to shoot some personal work and most everything was pretty minimal. Wishing Nicklaus best of luck as he is finishing up dental school in New York. Below are a few of my favorite frames from each look we did.
I was recently contacted by Raven Holloway at Ballet Pensacola to photograph their Artistic Director, Richard Steinert. Richard was such an amazing subject to work with. Check out the images below.
A couple months back, I was commissioned by Business Alabama Magazine to travel to Mobile, Alabama and visit Southern Fish & Oyster. Had the pleasure of photographing owner Ralph Atkins, his son Tripp Atkins and some of their crew for the story.
